Let Your Voice Be Heard.
Writing a letter is one of the most impactful ways to take action. When decision-makers receive hundreds of messages from people like us, it’s impossible to ignore the growing call for justice. A letter makes injustice personal. It puts names, stories, and values in front of those with power, and that can shift opinions and oppressive policies.
This page gives you everything you need to get started: sample letters, templates, hosting guides, and creative ways to make your voice heard.
Whether you’re writing alone or organizing with your community, your letter can be part of a powerful collective demand for change!
Indiana Solidarity Letter-Writing Toolkit
This toolkit supports two targeted actions to push for ethical action from Indiana leaders in solidarity with Gaza:
Indiana State Treasurer Daniel Elliott — urging him to divest from Israel Bonds.
Senator Todd Young — urging him to support lifting the blockade and delivering nutrient-rich humanitarian aid to starving Gazans.
Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or brand new to letter-writing campaigns, this guide is for you.
Why is this issue important to you?
What do you want Indiana leaders to do?
How should our money reflect our values?
Action 1: Stop Investing in Israel Bonds
Who: Indiana Treasurer Daniel Elliott
Why: Indiana’s investment in Israel Bonds supports violence and occupation. Taxpayer money shouldn't fund war crimes.
Ask: Cease further investments and divest existing funds from Israel Bonds.
“I want my state’s investments to reflect compassion, equity, and peace, not militarized injustice.”
Action 2: Demand Aid to Gaza
Who: Senator Todd Young
Why: Congress plays a key role in humanitarian access. Senator Young must use his position to call for the unblocking of aid and insist that nutrient-rich food reaches starving Gazans.
Ask: Publicly oppose the blockade and support airdrops and aid convoys that include nutritious, culturally appropriate food.
“I know what it looks like when a body is starved, and I cannot look away.”
